Our animal is the Octopus!

We chose the Octopus because our utopia is located right on the ocean and the Octopus is a sea creature that lives in the oceans that we are located on.

Declaration of Independance

PAMO was formed to create a crime and stress free organized society where everyone can live a long and happy life. We feel as if they are to many problems in our current society today like war, bad economy, and crime. In PAMO we have made it so none of these problems exist. PAMO works hard to keep everyone happy and in line. PAMO is a much more organized and controlled than current society.
With our current society we have many issues that have caused us to lose faith. In PAMO there wont be one person who make all the decisions because everyone will vote to determine new laws and other changes to society. This will keep everyone happy and make a more balanced and easier to control government. We feel we have to form a more perfect society because most places in the world have problems that effect the quality of peoples lives and that's why PAMO is the best place to live!

Journal Entry 1- Community Cookout

Sunday, May 3rd 2012

Today is Sunday, May 3rd 2012. I woke up at 9:18, took a shower, had cereal for breakfast, and got ready for church. Then at 10:00, my family and I went to church. I dont like church because its boring. When church ended my family and my best friends family went out to breakfast together to our favorite restaurant. Then we went home, changed into our bathing suits and drove down to the beach, my favorite part of Sunday. We helped set-up for the community cookout. I set up the volleyball net. Then at 2:00 everyone started arriving for the cookout. At 3:00, when everyone was at the cookout, the games began. We started off with swimming races and then a volleyball game. When the cookout ended I had to go to Church school for an hour. Then I went home and went to bed.

Journal Entry 2-October Fest

Tuesday, October 2nd 2012

Today is October 2nd, also known as October Fest here in PAMO. We celebrate the independence of our Utopian society today. It was a hot, sunny day today that we spent on the beach. There was a big Ferris Wheel and many activities that I participated in. This morning i woke up nice and early and found my friends that i spent the day with. We started to walk over to October Fest at about 10:00 A.M., a couple hours after it started, but it was open all day. As soon as you got there you got a stamp that let you stay there all day. I was able to participate in the activities as much as i wanted and went swimming for hours. I got to spend the day with everyone that was part of the community and everyone had so much fun. Everyone got together and celebrated the independence of our utopia and this is one of my favorite days ever.

We had a substitute because my teachers wife was having a baby. At 12:00 I went to my favorite class, Science. We studied the different layers of the Earth and was assigned a project on it. At 1:00 i went home and ate a sandwhich and fruit for lunch. At 2:00 I went to my school activity, cheerleading. We worked on our routine and learned the dance. At 5:00 I went home and did my homework until dinner was made. We had my favorite, spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. Governing Body

Our type of government is a Democracy, where everyone can vote and the majority wins.

Rules

1. Everyone has to participate in an afterschool activity. This will get kids more involved with the school and will promote more interaction and bonding between students.

2. No stealing. Stealing creates corruption and is not necessary.

3. Respect others. If you do not respect others, many problems such as fights and bullying will occur.

4. Everyone between the age 18 and 60 must be employed. We feel as though the mature age for children to start working is about 18. Also, at age 60 we feel as though you have contributed enough to the society and you have grown too old to do some things. Work would also become harder to complete as age increases.

5. You can't have more than four children. Having more than four children will create overpopulation which can lead to starvation and poverty, two of the main things PAMO tries to prevent.

6. Cannot drive until you are age 15. At age 15 we feel as though you are able to start driving, considering you will start work the following year. This makes it less chaotic on your parents because they wont have to drive you places anymore and you will already have experience driving when it is time for you to start working.

7. Cannot drink alcohol until age 18. At age 18, we feel as though children are for the most part mature adults and can handle the responsibility and consequences of drinking.

8. No smoking. Smoking can cause cancer and many other problems for people so we feel as though having the "No Smoking" rule will help prevent these problems.

9. No using weapons used against other forms of life. Using weapons against other forms of life is dangerous and it can harm people and animals, so we made the rule that weapon use is forbidden against other life forms.

10. You must start taking swimming lessons at age 3. PAMO is an island completely surrounded by water and we want everyone to know how to swim. This will decrease the risk of people drowning.
